INSTALLATION
The TemplateMailer system is available in two installation methods for your immediate usage. The first, TemplateMailer WebDelivery service will allow for a quick method to convert any web form, from any language to send through the TemplateMailer system. The second installation method is through a .NET custom Server Control which can be included into any .NET web application for easy form processing. For the TemplateMailer WebDelivery service method, unpack the following folders and files onto the root level of your web site.

/bin/TemplateMailerWebDelivery.dll
/bin/TemplateMailer.dll
/emailtemplates/textTemplate.txt
/ServerControl/TemplateMailer.dll
/QuickInstallation/TemplateMailer.msi
/readme.htm
/config.xml
/License.txt
/SendTemplateMail.aspx

For the quickest installation to your WebServer, run the /QuickInstallation/TemplateMailer.msi and it will install all files onto IIS and properly configure the WebServer.

Once installed, all of the templates for the TEXT, HTML and ThankYou messages will be stored within the /emailtemplates/ folder. The default template for TEXT emails is /emailtemplates/textTemplate.txt. The /config.xml file stores all the default configuration information. Each of these files is discussed further in the CONFIGURATION section of this documentation.

To use the TemplateMailer WebDelivery service point all forms to /SendTemplateMail.aspx The code of the form should appear as
<form id="form" name="form" action="SendTemplateMail.aspx" method="post">

If the forms are not located in the root directory of your web site, it may be necessary to contact your system administrator or ISP and have the folder where the files are place setup as an Application Name. To do so

  1. Open the IIS manager and browse to your web site.
  2. Select the folder where the contents of the TemplateMailer system are installed.
  3. Right Click and select Properties.
  4. On the Directory tab, in the Application Settings section Select the Create button next to the Application Name field.
  5. Select OK and close the IIS manager.

Review the CONFIGURATION section of this documentation for the list of hidden form fields and other configuration settings.
